We want your chocolate and teas to arrive in the best condition, and therefore, we offer  expedited shipping services via UPS for chocolates and teas to domestic locations.  UPS is also used for shipping of teas to international destinations.  We are not able to accept personal checks at this time.  If you prefer to make an order by phone, you can do so by calling  1(866) 920-5093, however, you are still bound by the terms of  use and the shipping policy of  this website.   If for any reason your order is sent incorrectly, we are happy to send a replacement or offer a full refund.   We will also gladly refund or replace any product that is damaged or defective with the following exceptions:  Somptueusement cannot be responsible for damage if you (or the recipient of a gift) are not present at the time of delivery and the damage occurs as a result of the delay in claiming the package.  Also, Somptueusement cannot be responsible for heat damage to chocolates if you instruct us to ship without Warm‑Weather Packaging.   Somptueusement will not refund purchases if the product is damaged after the first delivery attempt or if it is returned to us by UPS.  Somptueusement is NOT responsible for packages stolen or damaged after they are delivered to the address specified by the customer.  Somptueusement is also not responsible for refunding purchases that are lost after delivery after the customer signs for the package, or if the customer has a signature release waiver on file and the package is lost after delivery.  Somptueusement can't be responsible for orders delayed, returned or damaged as a result of incorrect or undeliverable addresses provided by the customer.  We can't be held responsible for lost or stolen packages, and suggest that you use a shipping method that offers you insurance and tracking when returning your items.  In the event that none of these exceptions apply, and you have a defective product, or incorrectly shipped item, please contact us within 7 days of receipt of your defective item by emailing us at  info@somptueusement.com and save all packaging as you may be asked to return the product in the packaging.  Return your purchase in the same packaging that it arrived to you in.  Please include your order number and billing name.  Somptueusement will issue you a refund once your package has been received and inspected. To receive compensation or store credit, you must contact Somptueusement via email within 7 days of your receipt of the defective product.  We ship chocolates and teas to locations within the 50 United states.  To ensure premium quality standards, we do not ship chocolates or packages containing both chocolates and teas to P. O. Boxes at this time.  We also do not ship chocolates or teas to APO/FPO addresses at this time.  We also do not ship packages containing chocolates, or both chocolates and teas outside of the United States at this time.  We do ship teas internationally using UPS.  Please provide a physical address for chocolate orders.  Using UPS services, 3 Day select, 2nd Day Air and Next Day Air are offered for an additional charge. Actual shipping rates depend on the weight and destination of your package.  Our website is directly linked to UPS.com here, so that you can track your order.  Somptueusement will upgrade your shipping to 2 Day Air for an additional charge, when shipping chocolates to destinations over 75 degrees. An additional charge of $8 will be added to all chocolate orders between May 1 and October 15 for ice packs and other necessary cooling materials necessary to maintain the freshness of the chocolates during warm weather.  (Dates of the warm season may vary somewhat depending on mother nature).   Orders will not be shipped on the weekend and packages will not be shipped on Fridays to avoid having packages in transit over the weekend - in order to ensure freshness of the product. Please do not select shipping arrival dates for Saturday or Sunday over the weekend. Between October 15 and April 30, the shipping of chocolate packages is ground (usually 2 day delivery), 2nd day air or overnight air.  During the warm season beginning May 1 and ending October 15, packaged chocolate orders must be sent by overnight express with cooling materials at an extra charge.  Hawaii:  All chocolates must be sent overnight express year round.  We carefully watch the weather reports and we reserve the right to upgrade shipping services when necessary, even if outside the dates of May 1 to October 15, if mother nature necessitates it to ensure a safe (un-melted) arrival of your chocolates.  Next day delivery to Hawaii is not guaranteed by UPS.  You can give permission to leave packages at the recipient address rather than requiring a signature for receipt of the package.  We suggest shipping to a business address when possible or requiring a signature upon delivery.  If you select, "Signature required for Delivery", your package will not be delivered unless it is signed for. You will receive an email notification that your order has been shipped if you provide us with a valid email address, or you can check your order's shipping status by clicking here.  You may cancel or change your order if it has not yet been shipped.  Please call customer service at  1-866-920-5093.  If you are unsatisfied with your order, contact us via email or phone customer service at 1-866-920-5093. To ensure quality, we never ship on weekends. All effective orders are held until the following Monday.
